Study on the effect of traditional Chinese medicine five-tone therapy combined with Chinese herbal foot bath on glycemic control in diabetic patients
中医五音疗法联合中药足浴对糖尿病患者血糖控制的影响研究

摘要

目的 探讨中医五音疗法联合中药足浴对60至80岁内分泌科住院糖尿病患者血糖控制效果，为老年糖尿病患者综合管理提供新方案。方法 选取2024年1至12月本院内分泌科25例住院糖尿病患者（样本量受年度音乐疗法应用病历量限制为20～30例），随机分为对照组（12例）与实验组（13例）。对照组实施常规护理，实验组在常规护理基础上增加中医五音疗法和中药足浴，干预2周。之后比较两组干预前后空腹血糖、餐后2h血糖、糖化血红蛋白水平及足部症状改善率。结果 干预后，实验组各项血糖指标明显低于对照组，足部症状改善率高于对照组，差异均具统计学意义。结论 中医五音疗法联合中药足浴能降低老年糖尿病患者血糖、改善足部症状，操作简便安全，适合临床推广。

Abstract

Objective To investigate the efficacy of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) five-tone therapy combined with herbal foot bath in blood glucose control for endocrinology inpatients with diabetes aged 60-80 years, providing a novel approach for comprehensive management of elderly diabetic patients.
Methods A total of 25 inpatients with diabetes from the endocrinology department of our hospital during January-December 2024 were selected (sample size limited to 20-30 cases due to annual music therapy application records). They were randomly divided into a control group (n=12) and an experimental group (n=13). The control group received conventional nursing care, while the experimental group received additional TCM five-tone therapy and herbal foot bath for 2 weeks. Subsequently, the fasting blood glucose, 2-hour postprandial blood glucose, glycated hemoglobin (HbA1c) levels, and improvement rate of foot symptoms were compared between the two groups before and after intervention.
Results After intervention, the experimental group showed significantly lower blood glucose levels and higher improvement rates of foot symptoms compared to the control group, with statistically significant differences.
Conclusion   TCM five-tone therapy combined with herbal foot bath can effectively reduce blood glucose and improve foot symptoms in elderly diabetic patients. The method is simple, safe, and suitable for clinical promotion.
